Learn the art of making garments fit the body—not just the garment size.

This hands-on class is designed for sewists who want to build practical alteration and fitting skills. You’ll learn how to evaluate fit, identify common fit issues, determine what needs to be altered, and execute professional adjustments.

You’ll work through real garment-fitting techniques including waist, seat, side-seam, hem, sleeve, and silhouette adjustments while learning how to make alterations without compromising the original design of the garment.

Your jeans don’t have to be the perfect size off the rack—you can make them fit YOU.

Learn the techniques used to professionally alter denim while maintaining the original shape, construction, and finish of the jeans.

This hands-on class focuses specifically on jean alterations, including hemming, waist adjustments, tapering, seat adjustments, and working with denim construction and topstitching.

You’ll Learn:
• How to evaluate the fit of jeans
• Original-hem jean shortening
• Standard jean hemming

Bring your own clothes to Donleaux and learn how to transform them into pieces you’ll actually want to wear. This hands-on class teaches you how to evaluate garments, identify fit issues, plan alterations, and make practical changes to your existing wardrobe.

You’ll learn how to take garments that are too big, too long, too loose, or simply not flattering and make thoughtful alterations to improve the fit and silhouette.

This consultation is the first step in creating a custom piece designed exclusively for you. During our one-on-one meeting, we’ll discuss your vision, inspiration, event details, budget, and timeline to establish the creative direction for your garment.

This 45-minute designer consultation is a collaborative brainstorming session where we’ll bring your ideas to life. Following our meeting, you’ll receive an initial design sketch along with a comprehensive design package outlining the concept, construction details, and overall creative direction for your review.

Consultation Fee: $25

This non-refundable fee reserves your appointment and will be credited toward your custom order should you choose to move forward.

Couture Gown Design Consultation

Designed for life's most memorable moments, our custom gown service offers a fully personalized design experience from concept to creation. Whether you're celebrating a birthday, attending a gala, stepping in front of the camera for a photoshoot, making an entrance at homecoming, or curating looks for a special vacation, your gown will be crafted to fit your vision, body, and occasion.

Every detail is intentionally designed to create a statement piece that is uniquely yours. From dramatic silhouettes to sleek, modern elegance, we'll work together to create a gown that leaves a lasting impression.

Following your consultation, a custom design sketch will be sent to your email within 1 week. This sketch will serve as the final approval step before production begins, ensuring every detail aligns with your vision.

A $150 consultation fee is required to secure your appointment and will be applied toward your final balance.

Need help selecting the perfect fabric for your custom piece? This consultation takes place directly at the fabric store, where we’ll discuss your design and shop together for the best materials.

I’ll guide you through fabric options based on the garment’s silhouette, structure, color, stretch, weight, drape, and overall look, while helping determine the appropriate yardage for your project.

Please note: Fabric and materials are not included in the consultation fee or designer/labor fee and will be purchased separately by the client.

Atelier Fit Session

This appointment is for your sample fitting prior to final garment construction. The purpose of this session is to ensure proper fit, proportions, and overall design accuracy before any final fabric is cut.

This service is exclusively for clients who currently have a garment in production. During your fitting, we will review the sample piece, make necessary adjustments, and confirm all details to ensure your final garment is executed with precision and care.
